Exhibition: Presence of Others, by Oda Bremnes
All living things can sense and respond to their environment. Their motions follow a set of actions and reactions. Even small changes in the ambience can affect the way we move through a space. When you are in a room and someone or something else comes in, your body is instinctively reacting to the presence of the other. Carefully you throw quick glances at each other. Examining each other at a distance trying to figure out how to react. Suddenly, your body is unable to relax completely, the feeling of awareness makes you alert, unable to let the other go unnoticed.
